I received the following email from TFL this morning:-

I am writing to let you know that from Saturday 3 November until late April 2013, Streatham Common railway bridge will be closed. This is due to bridge reconstruction work being carried out by contractors on behalf of Network Rail, which will enable the platforms to be extended.

Routes 60, 118 and N133 will not serve Streatham Common station or Streatham Vale and will be diverted via Stanford Road, Norbury station and Streatham High Road.

A free shuttle service, route 560, will run between Pollards Hill (Wide Way at Ivy Gardens) and Streatham Common station serving all bus stops in Rowan Road and Streatham Vale.

Pedestrian access to the station and across the railway will be maintained at all times. For a map with alternative routes, please click here

Yours sincerely

Peter Bradley
Head of Consultation Delivery

At the time of writing there is no indication if the shuttle bus service will run for long enough to serve the N133.
