Council Finally Acknowledges the Bridge Closure

17 Days after the closure of the bridge Lambeth council has finally acknowledged that it’s happening on it’s Council News Blog.

‘We know that local businesses are concerned about interruption to trade and we are taking this up with Network Rail and will explore what they can offer in terms of compensation.’’

Of course there are no details on the compensation, diversions, or really anything else. Typical.

  1. Why has a large organisation like Homebase be paid compensation when the small businesses on Greyhound Lane are struggling there is no foot fall here now. Network Rail start talking to the people YOU are putting out of Business..
